New superintendent appointed at CV-S

The Board of Education of the Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School District announced the appointment of Robert Miller to the position of School District Superintendent at the Board of Education meeting held on Thursday, June 25, 2009. His responsibilities will resume on July 27, 2009.
Miller was assistant principal for the district during the 2008-2009 school year and before that taught mathematics at the Oneonta High School for 15 years. He has been an adjunct instructor of mathematics at SUNY Oneonta for the last 10 years.
Miller received both his CAS in school administration and his School District Administrator certificate from SUNY Cortland in May of 2006. He has a Master’s Degree from SUNY Oneonta in Mathematics Education and completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Chemistry at SUNY Oneonta in 1988.
A lifelong resident of Oneonta and is married with four children, his children range in age from a recent high school graduate to fifth grade twins. Miller is an avid runner and participates in many area road races. He has also coached travel and recreational soccer in Oneonta as well as track, cross-country and swimming at the scholastic level. |
