Friday, March 27

The Zone Community Center will be hosting a Chinese auction and soup and pie supper at their Walnut Street location, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The cost is $5 per person or $20 per family. Children under five eat free.


Saturday, March 28

The American Red Cross of the Mohawk Valley and the Human Rights Advocacy Program at Utica College are offering a free public seminar, Humanity in the Midst of War: An Introduction to International Humanitarian Law, at Utica College on Saturday March 28, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Contact Jay Starr at 315-733-4668 x 219, or by email at starrj@redcrossmv.org.

Wednesday, April 1  

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Herkimer County and New York FarmNet will sponsor a workshop called “Tips for Farming in Tough Times” on April 1, 2009, 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m., at the Knights Inn, 20 Albany Street, Little Falls. This workshop is free of charge to area farmers, agri-businesses and those interested in the future of farming in New York.


Thursday, April 2

The annual pre-Easter bake sale will be hosted by St. John’s Church, of Richfield Springs, on Saturday, April 4, from 9 a.m. to noon, in the local NBT lobby.

Monday, April 6

As a result of inclement weather, the Richfield Springs Historical Association has rescheduled their guest speaker, Don Urtz, for April 6, at 7:30 at the Richfield Springs library. Urtz will present and speak about his collection of historic area photographs.
