Wednesday Evenings

AL-ANON meetings are now being held at The Otsego Manor on Phoenix Mills Cross Road Near Route 28 in Cooperstown. Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. For more information see http://www.al-anon.org.

Friday, March 20

The Little Lamb Preschool will be holding a Chinese auction and Soup and Pie Supper from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. at 187 Main Street, Richfield Springs. Adults are $5,children from ages 5- 12 are $3, and children under 5 eat free.


Saturday, March 21

A Gathering of Wellbeing for Women will be held on Saturday March 21,  from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sliding scale fee is $50-$75.  Pre-registration is required. Call 315-479-7718, or via email at djwelsh@syr.edu or  www.deborahjwelsh.com.

A nursing open house will be held on Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to noon at Bassett Healthcare, Bassett Hall Chapel, Beaver Street, Cooperstown.

Friends of Jordanville Library, Main Street, Jordanville, will be holding their annual meeting on Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m.

The Zone Community Center will be hosting a Chinese auction and Soup and Pie Supper at their Walnut Street location, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The cost is $5 per person or $20 per family. Children under five eat free.

The American Red Cross of the Mohawk Valley and the Human Rights Advocacy Program at Utica College are offering a free public seminar, Humanity in the Midst of War: An Introduction to International Humanitarian Law, at Utica College, on Saturday March 28, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Contact Jay Starr at 315-733-4668 x 219, or by e-mail at starrj@redcrossmv.org.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Herkimer County and New York FarmNet will sponsor a workshop called “Tips for Farming in Tough Times” on April 1, 2009, 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Knights Inn, 20 Albany Street, Little Falls. This workshop is free of charge to area farmers, agri-businesses and those interested in the future of farming in New York.
