Letters to the Editor

Praise from Zone leader

The Mercury has been an important part of our community for the past few years. It’s been the eyes and ears of what is happening in Richfield Springs. It has been nice for our high school sports teams to have coverage and for us who no longer have children in school to keep in touch with RSCS happenings. When I did have children in school they were always proud to have a picture in the Mercury or to be Athlete of the Week. Mike Root was part of our 2004 Soccer Sectional Team going all the way with us. I enjoyed the community profile; it was nice to read about positive caring people right here in our neighborhood.

Janine was always sharing her experiences with us and encouraging us by her parting words “life is for living, so live it.” Janine has always been informative, professional and friendly.  She will be missed.  Bruce Watson is always in touch with the community and sharing what’s up.

The Mercury has been an important resource for the building of a community center. Without The Mercury it would have been impossible to get the word out about what was happening, how people could help and the many programs that are being pursued.  The Zone Community Center is available for the community to use on a first come first serve basis to clubs, organizations and individuals for social events.  Please call 315-858-3200 to schedule use.

Thank you to all The Mercury staff, past and present, for the valuable service you have provided to Richfield Springs.

Good luck with your new adventures.
