It was with great sadness that I read today’s editorial. I have subscribed to The Mercury since you resurrected it and hope that it will be published again soon. I realize publishing newspapers has changed primarily due to dollars and technology, but there is nothing better than holding a favorite newspaper in a comfortable chair.
My favorite contributor has been Janine Giordano. Her column has taught me so much about relationships, family, spirituality and humanity, and I wonder if it could be continued on your website.
The history column, Terry Berkson’s stories and Don Urtz’ recollections are also interesting and your newspaper has always been more than fair printing in our DAR news.
Thursdays just won’t be the same without your newspaper in my mailbox.
