The Cooperstown Farmers’ Market opens for its 19th season on Saturday, May 9. In celebration of Mothers Day, the first 200 moms will receive a complimentary carnation.
Refreshments will be served and Scott Andersen will be the featured artist playing acoustic blues, classic rock and folk music.
The market is pleased to announce that the space has been expanded and enhanced, courtesy of the Scriven Foundation, and features new windows and four additional new vendor spaces for which there is much demand.
Market organizers expect a full house of vendors featuring the first fresh veggies of the season, baked goods, organic meats, cheeses including goat, Asiagio, Jarlsberg and cheddar, 2009 maple syrup, fresh eggs, crafts, apples, jams and jellies, photography and more. Hot soup and fresh coffee will be available.
The Market, located behind Key Bank, will be open from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. and is sponsored by Otsego 2000. For further information, call 607-547-6195.
