The annual RSCS Marching Indians fruit sale took place recently, and on Monday, Feb. 26, the sweet smell of citrus permeated the halls of Richfield Springs Central School after the delivery truck arrived and the band students unloaded grapefruit, oranges, pears, tangerines and apples. Instrumental music teacher Paul Blake recruited Cassie Proctor, Ben Smith, Randy Nabinger, Randall Patterson, Stephen Holland, Evan Swartout, Keegan Wheelock-Tanner and Nicholas Nicoletta to help compile orders, and soon it was time for the fruit to get delivered to the many customers that support the instrumental program at RSCS.
