Preparing for Earth Festival 09

Earth Festival 2009 will take place on Saturday, April 18, at Milford Central School. This event is focused on the environment and will feature exhibits, vendors and entertainment. It will include a silent auction and the popular Eco-Art/Trendy Trash Contest all with a fun, earth-friendly twist.

Earth Festival organizers are looking for support from area businesses, schools, organizations and individuals.  Earth friendly vendors and exhibitors are needed as well as financial support for the event.

Earth Festival 2009 is presented by the Environmental Education Network of Otsego County and sponsored by Wildlife Learning Company, in cooperation with Otsego 2000, the Otsego County Conservation Association and the Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce.

In conjunction with Earth Festival, EENOC will also publish an Earth Day calendar on its website www.eenoc.org as it has in the past.  All those holding an environmental or earth-related event or activity between April 15 and May 15 are invited to submit information for the calendar at no cost.

For more information about the many ways you can support this exciting environmental education event, visit www.eenoc.org.
