The ODY Wildcats were decked out in blue and white for the pep rally after daily celebrations throughout the week, including Hawaiian Day, Western Day, Color Day, and Ď80s Day.

Also, as part of this traditional way to celebrate their schoolís annual homecoming, students in seventh-twelfth grades decoratd their advisorís classrooms with self made posters and by competing in school-wide competitions.

The crowning of a prince and princess in each grade from seventh through eleventh, and the crowning of the Seniorsí king and queen also took place last week. The princes and princesses selected for seventh grade, were Mine Maine and Tess Hitchcock;  in eighth grade were Kierra Bangs and Will Christmann; in ninth grade were Myra Hoke and Andrew Sorensen; in tenth grade were Nate Stephens and Mackenzie Mortensen; and in eleventh grade, Nate Hoke and Katie Elsaesser. The king and queen for the graduting class of 2009 are Gina Mangone and Nate Oldick.

Regents were over, report cards had gone home, and it was a mid-winter celebration that many said provided good memories and lots of laughs.

Kindergarten, first and second grade students left their sneakers at one end of the gym and proceeded to the other end of the gym to line up for the start of their event at the ODY Pep Rally last Friday. When given the word they raced in their stocking feet to find their sneakers, put them on, and run back to the other end of the gym. (Photo by Bruce Watson)
