CNA class graduates honored by MVNH and Folts Homes
A graduation ceremony for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) from the program sponsored by Mohawk Valley Nursing Home (MVNH) in Ilion and Folts Homes in Herkimer was held on April 10, 2009. Since the inception of this course, 257 students have successfully completed the classes to become CNAs. The CNAs work under the supervision of a nurse and provide assistance to residents with daily living tasks, as well as social and emotional support.

The ceremony was held in the chapel at Folts Homes, with Director of Nursing Rosanne Hebert, R.N., as facilitator. Folts Homes Chaplain Reverend Roger K. Klossner offered the invocation and benediction. Welcoming and congratulatory remarks to the students and their families were made by Administrator Fred Scerbo.
Diplomas and flowers were presented to the following CNA class graduates by Rosanne Hebert, R.N.: Heidi Annutto, Sara Barrows, Danielle Blunt, Matthew Daniels, Sharon DuBosque, Karyn Hansen, Deborah Lawlor, Crystal Shibley and Lori Wagner.
Following the ceremony and the presentation of their diplomas, the students enjoyed refreshments in the Judd Building.
