Herkimer County Humane Society holding flower sale and garage sale
The Herkimer County Humane Society is holding its annual flower sale on Friday, May 15th from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 16th from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the humane society located on Route 5s, Mohawk.
The flower choices for 2009 are: Non-stop Begonias, Geraniums and Wave Petunias. These flowers are in 10-inch hanging baskets that can be easily removed for ground planting if desired. The cost for the hanging baskets is $16.00 for one or $30.00 for two.
We are also offering perennials of Poppy, Lupine, and Scabiosa. These are in 4.5 pots and there are 10 pots per tray. The cost for these perennials is $30.00 for 1 tray or $55.00 for 2 trays.
Additional perennials are being offered this year in 2-gallon containers of Columbine, Phlox, Bee Balm and Hollyhock. The price for these perennials is $11.00 for 1 or $19.00 for 2.
Also new this year are our herb offerings of Italian Parsley, Italian Basil, Lavender and Rosemary. There are 10 plants per tray and the trays are $22.00 for 1 or $40.00 for 2.
Our annual offerings are back by popular demand and we are once again offering Violas (Johnny Jump-Ups), Celosia and Zinnia. The cost for the annuals is $15.00 for 1 flat or $25.00 for 2 flats and there are 48 plants per flat.
